Dr. Jessica Giraud


Jessica Giraud, President and Founder of Archaios is a researcher associated with teamVEPMO of Unité Mixte de Recherche UMR 7041 ArScAn and the Institut français du Proche-Orient IFPO. A landscape archaeologist, she works mainly in the arid and steppe regions of the Near and Middle East.
Her objects of study are the processes of creation of spaces and the mechanisms of evolution of settlements and territories over the long term, from the Palaeolithic to present time.
Her work is necessarily based on interdisciplinarity, that has allowed her to acquire skills in surveying, rescue excavations, palaeo-environmental studies, management of international teams and technical skills in geographical information systems and mapping.
