RESPONSIBLE FOR PHOTOGRAMMETRY AND VIRTUAL REALITY
Rémi Méreuze is responsible for photogrammetry and virtual reality. Hompleted his university training at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. His field training was initially concentrated in Ile-de-France within preventive excavations conducted by INRAP.
After a master’s degree in woodworking techniques of the Thule people (the direct ancestors of the Inuit) in Alaska, he is PhD a student at Unité Mixte de Recherche UMR 8096, Archaeologie des Amériques, under the direction of Dominique Legoupil and Claire Alix. His work focuses on the construction techniques of the Thule’s wooden houses in the Alaskan and Western Canadian Arctic.
He has developed skills in 3D, particularly photogrammetric surveying, and more generally in applied computer science in archaeology.
